This game starts with a bottle lying on its side, placed on a block of wood. The player has three chances to make the coke or milk bottle stand up, using a ring, string and a pole. If the bottle falls off the block, the player looses.
This is a very challenging game. The base of the game is made of 3/4″ plywood that measures 36″ x 24″.
It is edged (see picture) with a 1.5″ board.
A block of wood is attached to the base in the middle. This block measures 8.5″ x 8.5″ and is 1.5″ thick. It’s best to paint this block a contrasting color.
This game may be built as a tabletop model, or with table legs in our illustration. These are available at home improvement stores.
Historically, a coke bottle was used in this game, but we have found they have a tendency to break and shatter. We now recommend using either aluminum or wooden milk bottles.
The ring used measures 3.5″ in diameter. It is attached by a string to a pole that is 18″ long. This may be made of plastic or wood.
